About George Ulrich, MD
Dr. Ulrich grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated with honors from medical school at the University of Colorado. After an internship at Naval Hospital Oakland, he served as a diving and submarine medical officer with the U.S. Navy. He then completed ophthalmology training at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and fellowship training in glaucoma at Duke University. 
Dr. Ulrich retired from the Navy as a Captain after twenty years of active service in the medical corps.
He has experience teaching ophthalmology to physicians in training, and he is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Ulrich is a board certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist in private practice at Crown City Eye Center in Coronado, CA. He has special training and experience in the surgical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts.
An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who has received at least three additional years of specialty training in the medical and surgical treatment of eye disorders, as well as prescription of corrective lenses.
Dr. Ulrich also has completed fellowship training in glaucoma and has special additional skills in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. He is the medical director of Insight Diagnostic Laboratories specializing in the diagnosis of glaucoma with sophisticated imaging equipment.
Dr. Ulrich is also skilled and experienced in oculoplastic procedures, regularly performing surgery to correct drooping and sagging eyelids.
